What is Kybella/PCDC?

Kybella or Compounded Phosphatidylcholine/Sodium Deoxycholate (PC/DC) is injected into the fat under the chin or other small areas. The injection contains a naturally occurring substance in the body, deoxycholic acid, which helps the body absorb fat cells resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness. Once these fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat. Multiple treatments with injections need to be given at least 1 month apart for maximum effect.

Is there any downtime?
After a Kybella/PCDC treatment, you may face minor side effects like redness, swelling, tenderness, and itching at the injection site. You can treat them with a cold compress. You may also experience some bruising that will likely last anywhere between a few days to two weeks. To resolve it faster, you can use Arnica Montana before treatment and/or take digestive enzymes. We also recommend you ice your treatment area for the initial 24 to 48 hours several times a day and apply a warm compress to the bruised area for the following 48 to 72 hours.
